How to double check to see if you have installed the lower post as the upper lander (and vice versa)?

Use a measuring tape to verify the distance from the lower hole to the base plate.

The Upper Post will have holes that are lower to the ground (shorter distance to base plate).

To measure this differently, you can measure the post that's currently on the higher side (upper landing): 18.5" (47cm) is the distance from baseplate the LOWER hole.

If it's not, that means your upper and lower post are reversed.
